Red Skinny Jeans, ’70s Center Parts and Candy Colored Polishes

A few of my favorite things….

If you take a look in my closet, you will find a beautiful rainbow on the first shelf. Yes, every color of skinny jeans! This shelf once was home to black, grey or dark denim. Not anymore. I simply cannot get enough of the brightly colored skinny jeans. The best thing is, you can find these skinnies at any price point. After trying (and buying) several different brands, my favorite fit is the Rockstar fit from Old Navy. There is a great amount of stretch, so these hug curves beautifully! And the price is unbelievable…you can afford to buy all your favorite colors. I think every girl should have a pair in red. The red skinnies look amazing paired with a white v-neck tee and leopard print ballet flats for day or with a flowy, black tank, gold necklace and pointy-toe heels for evening. Very hot!

When my hair is not in a high bun or ponytail, my new favorite look is sleek straight hair parted in the middle. Yes, it is a classic ’70s look and yes, it is still super sexy! This look can be challenging for those of us with a little bit of natural wave, but there are so many products out now to help. My go to product line is Aveda. I start with Pure Abundance shampoo & conditioner. Then I recommend using Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother and blow drying small sections. Finish the look by flat ironing and smoothing fly aways….Perfection!

Bright polishes are not just for that summer pedi! Will it be aqua blue, butter yellow, lime green or lilac. So many beautiful colors that pop. OPI and Butter London have some brilliant shades that must be seen! I have to admit, I still love a simple white polish too.
